Sinokor’s Kookyang Logitech to Invest $38 Million in Gwangyang Port Logistics Facility
Kookyang Logitech, a Sinokor Merchant Marine logistics subsidiary, will invest $38 million in a logistics facility in Gwangyang, South Korea’s second-busiest container port. The facility will handle 80,000 TEUs and create 100 jobs. Kookyang Logitech was chosen as the preferred bidder for the project, which is part of YGPA’s expansion of the port’s hinterlands. Because they can handle IMO Class 1 and 2 cargo, the logistics facilities are expected to attract transshipments from major container shipping alliances.
