Mariel Container Terminal in Cuba has finished dredging the channel to accommodate Neo Panamax vessels
The Mariel Container Terminal (TCM) in Cuba has completed channel dredging, allowing it to handle larger Neo Panamax vessels. Ships up to 366 meters long, 52 meters wide, and 15 meters deep can now dock at the port. The completion of the channel dredging is regarded as a watershed moment for TCM, which has a strategic location in the Caribbean and is poised for expansion. Martin Jose Spini, TCM’s general manager, stated that the port’s infrastructure, location, dependable workforce, and high levels of security position it well for continued success.
