Boeing Establishes a Massive Distribution Facility in Australia
The biggest aircraft spare parts and chemicals distribution center (DC) in the APAC area has been opened by Boeing. It is three times bigger than its two prior distribution centers in Brisbane put together.
According to Boeing, the new DC will be able to transport 15 times more freight daily directly to Brisbane from Melbourne.
The facility is anticipated to speed up delivery to maintain the operation of commercial, military, corporate, and general aviation aircraft while lowering the carbon impact of deliveries.
“Queensland is an aviation center in the Indo-Pacific region, and Boeing’s investment provides us a significant edge, as the defense and aviation sectors continue to recover from the Covid-19 outbreak,” stated Queensland Minister for Employment Development Di Farmer during the inauguration ceremony.
