Hapag-Lloyd Expands West African Service with New Markets and Revamped Rotations
A new West African Service 1 (WA1), covering Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia, is scheduled to debut from May 2023 by the German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd. The new service will run alongside the revamped West Africa Express (WAX) service rotations. The company has also improved the WAX service by including a weekly Dakar call. The new WA1 service will replace Hapag-Lloyd’s Dakar Express (DEX) Service. The shipping company’s expansion comes after the announcement of a new flexible port coverage service in Asia two weeks ago.
