MARAD announces $12.4M in grants for US Marine Highway Program
The Maritime Administration (MARAD) of the United States Department of Transportation has announced $12.4 million in funding for the United States Marine Highway Program (USMHP). The program’s goals include strengthening supply chains, lowering emissions, and creating jobs across the country. The grants will be given out based on a variety of criteria, and applicants must apply by April 28th. Since the program’s inception, MARAD has awarded more than $91.6 million in competitive grants to eligible organizations for marine highway services.
