MSC container ship loses 45 containers overboard in bad weather
On its way from Boston to the Dominican Republic, the MSC SHRISTI vessel lost 45 empty shipping containers due to a severe weather incident. The incident happened approximately 350 nautical miles east of Bermuda. The ship arrived safely in Caucedo before sailing to Turkey. The incident occurred the same week that the MSC KYMEA II was barred from entering Australian ports for 90 days by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.
