Ocean Network Express (ONE) orders 10 container vessels for green strategy
Ocean Network Express (ONE) has placed an order for ten container ships with a total capacity of over 13,700 TEU. The vessels will be ready for methanol and ammonia when they are delivered in 2025 and 2026. ONE’s goal is to increase fleet competitiveness and meet customer demand for an efficient and reliable supply chain by ensuring a consistent deployment of new, energy-efficient container vessels. Onboard carbon capture and storage during delivery has also been discussed. ONE’s top priority is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and the company recently launched a new Freightliner service powered entirely by ONE-funded GD+ green biofuel.
